Smokin’ is an American take on a classic Rauchbier (German for smoked beer). It’s brewed with Bamberg malt smoked over a beechwood fire, hopped with Hallertau Mittelfrüh, and fermented with California ale yeast. Smokin’ is aromatic and flavorful, just shy of “bacon in a glass”.
Tragically Hopped was designed and brewed as a “classic” Double IPA. We used a blend of Centennial, Simcoe, and (new to Great North Aleworks) Mosaic, at a whopping 3 pounds per barrel in the kettle, and another 3 pounds per barrel as dry hops.
Bursting with aromas of tangerine and pineapple. This east coast meets west coast style IPA has flavors of juicy melon and tangerine thanks to the use of Mandarina Bavaria hops. Moose Juice IPA has a creamy mouthfeel and is well balanced with a smooth finish. Brake For Moose!
